@PeiinNagato I think we’re a lot closer to agreeing now. Not exactly that there should be Muslim jokes, but that religious people of all religions should start thinking a bit more about their beliefs and realize why they are being ridiculed.
One thing I want to highlight though is that most ‘Christian jokes’ come from former Christians who were brought up in post Christian societies. Making fun of someone else’s culture is always a bit touchy

@PeiinNagato And what I’ve been suggesting is that this is a trick people develop to avoid having to think about the dissonance in their own beliefs. “Oh everyone’s always pickin’ on me”. The Muslims play the same game, they play the victim like you do, they make broad generalizations about other cultures just like you do, and they are just as wrong as you are.
Things that come to mind : glass houses, casting the first stone and removing splinters from peoples eyes. Sound familiar?

How much of a great difference there is between the mocking of Islam and the mocking of other beliefs in cartoons.
South Park recently had an episode where they were showing that they cannot mock Islam as easilly as the others
Cause Muslims are violent and get offended easilly

@PeiinNagato Well let’s just clear up a misunderstanding here, I am not offended by Islam bashing, I am a fervent defender of showing how ridiculous these beliefs are at any occasion possible. I believe the survival of our species depends largely on our ability to dispose of these superstitions.
We’ll have to disagree as to whether or not South Park bashes Islam, but I guess anyone wanting to settle the question could simply watch a few episodes…
